Prof. Dr. Jun HE is currently a Distinguished Professor at School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering at Shenzhen University. He is a recipient of the Excellent Youth Science Fund of NSFC, a Top Talent Youth for Science and Technology Innovation in Special Support Program of Guangdong, and also an outstanding youth in Shenzhen. He is currently the vice director of the Guangdong Hong Kong Joint Research Center for Fiber Optic Sensing Technology, and the vice director of the Shenzhen Key Laboratory of IoT Photonic Devices and Sensing Systems. Dr. He received the Bachelor's Degree from Wuhan University, Wuhan, in 2006 and the Ph.D degree from the Institute of Semiconductor, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Beijing, in 2011. From 2011 to 2013, he worked as a research engineer at Huawei Technology Co., Ltd, Shenzhen; From 2013 to 2015, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the School of Optoelectronic Engineering at Shenzhen University, Shenzhen, China; From 2015 to 2016, he worked as a visiting scholar at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia; In 2017, he joined Shenzhen University, successively served as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Full Professor. Prof. He’s research interests focus on intelligent fiber-optic sensors for extreme environments, femtosecond laser micro/nano processing, narrow-linewidth fiber laser sensor, novel fiber grating devices and their applications in aerospace, nuclear power, artificial intelligence and other fields. Prof. He has hosted 18 scientific research projects including NSFC key projects (e.g., Excellent Youth Science Foundation, and NSFC Joint Funds), and serveral Guangdong/Shenzhen key projects. Prof. He has published over 100 SCI papers (51 papers as first/corresponding author) with more than 2300 SCI citations, and has an H-index of 28; Authorized 9 Chinese invention patents; Received the second prize of the Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education (2022), the first prize of the Optical Technology Award of the Guangdong Optical Society (2022), and the first prize of the Shenzhen Natural Science Award (2017). From 2020 to 2022, he was continuously selected as one of the top 2% scientists in the global scientific influence ranking. Prof. He is a Optica member, a member of Fiber Optics and Integrated Optics Committee and Laser Processing Committee of China Optical Society (COS), member of Fiber Sensing Committee and Optical Communication and Optical Network Committee of China Optical Engineering Society (COES), young editorial board member of Photonic Sensors, Acta Optica Sinica, Acta Photonica and other journals.
